ArTA Training
Based on the results of my PhD research, I have developed a method for art therapy observation and assessment for art therapy practice and wrote a book about it. Through training, this method comes to life and you can learn to apply it in your own practice. Two ArTA training courses are offered: the ArTA Basic Training and The ArTA advanced training
In addition, the 'guided intervision' traject is offered. All routes can also be provided Incompany.

ArTA Basic Course
In this online basic course you will learn the theory of the ArTA method and practice, under supervison, observing the material interaction, the material experience and the art product with your a client from your own work context. You will learn to apply the 4 steps of the method and the ArTA observation form. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be certified in the basic use of ArTA.
In-person ArTA Introduction Weekend, MTU Crawford College of Art & Design, Cork, Ireland
In this course, Dr. Ingrid Pénzes will give an in-depth introduction to the ArTA method using a mix of experiential work and in-depth theory.
ArTA is an evidence-based, art-focused and neuro-informed art therapy assessment method. This method assists the art therapist to observe adult clients' art making and art products in a focused, systematic and efficient manner, and to interpret these observations in terms of balance and adaptability as positive health aspects. These insights help the art therapist to assess whether the client might benefit from art therapy and, if so, to formulate treatment goals and provide art therapy interventions tailored to the client's needs and abilities. ArTA can also be used to monitor and evaluate treatment progress. All info can found via this link.
ArTA Advanced Course
This online course is designed for art therapists who have completed the basic course and are using ArTA in their practice. The course delves deeper into the (neuroscientific) theory of ArTA, addresses more complex cases from practice, and provides more space for experiencing the use of ArTA in the context of work.
